Breaded cod on a bed of lettuce and cucumber, served on freshly baked sourdough, with home made tartar sauce (mayonnaise with chopped gherkins, capers, parsley and tarragon with a splash of lemon juice). Or in No-Bullsh#t terms: a fish finger sarnie.

As you can see, and as my friends are always delighted to point out, I'm no photographer. My photos are lousy.
The thing is, I prefer to just do, so taking beauty shots of ingredients and food rarely occurs to me until after I've taken a massive bite and ruined it, or everything is done and cleared away.
Therefore, I present to you: real, unposed shots of my blundering about in the kitchen, - if only to set the bar really, really low.
This site is about making it easy for you to make a thing to eat - not to show off my baking skills. You can probably do better - so take solace in the fact that your stuff doesn't have to look like it came out of a professional bakery.
Below, you'll find results - warts 'n all:
- Some loaves collapsed due to overproved dough.
- Some burned slightly.
- Some are wonky.
- Some are scored, some are not.
- Some came from starters with different ratios
- Some are made with butter, some with olive oil, some with neither.
- And yes, I know my chopping board is burnt.
The point is: it doesn't matter. If it's cooked enough, it's delicious.
